PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an org. matter treating device not emitting a malodor due to leakage of an undeodorized exhaust gas. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a treating tank 1 for decomposing the introduced org. matter such as garbage and an exhaust passage 15 to discharge an exhaust gas to the outside through a deodorizer 18 for deodorizing the exhaust gas from the tank 1. Vent holes 26 and 27 are formed on the downstream side of the deodorizer 18 in the exhaust gas passage 15, and a fan 24 for sucking the exhaust gas from the deodorizer 18 and the air from the vent holes 26 and 27 and discharging then to the outside is furnished on the downstream side of the vent holes 26 and 27.
