<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a pigment-containing substantially spherical toner having a small particle diameter and giving an image having high image quality. SOLUTION: This method includes a process that a polymerization reaction system containing at least a solvent, a polymerizable monomer soluble in the solvent and forming a polymer insoluble in the solvent, a high molecular compound soluble in the solvent and a pigment and having a pigment dispersion rate (ψ) of 1.0-1.1 is formed, a process that the amount of dissolved oxygen in the polymerization reaction system is adjusted to 0-2.0 mg/l and a process that the polymerizable monomer is polymerized in the polymerization reaction system.</p> |
