PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the efflorescence, adhesion of dirt, and molding by mainly constituting a joint material mainly from a water hardenable material, an alkali metal silicate and a photocatalyst, forming the photocatalyst on the surface, and forming a silicate glass film near the surface of the joint material. SOLUTION: An alkali metal silicate and a water hardenable material such as cement-based powder are kneaded with water to form a pasted joint material. When this paste is filled as the joint of a building followed by curing, the silicate is moved with the moisture evaporated on the surface of the joint to form a silicate glass film 4 in the vicinity thereof. The silicate glass film 4 prevents the efflorescence and makes the adhesion of contaminant to the joint surface difficult. An oxide having photocatalytic function and a water hardenable material such as cement-based powder are kneaded with water, and filled as a pasted joint material. According to this, dirt is hardly adhered to the surface of the joint material, and the efflorescence can be also prevented. |
