SUPPLY AIR TYPE COOLER AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel and improved supply air cooler structure to eliminate a stress in a position where an inside header and a tank are intercoupled by approximately equalizing thermal expansion of an inside header with that of the tank and to provide a method for manufacturing the supply air type cooler. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method is that a plurality of flat pipes 22 of a supply air type cooler are extended between header plates 18 and 20 and a fin 24 is situated between the adjoining pipes 22. The intermediate part of the header plate 18 has a pipe long hole and the end part of the pipe 22 runs through the surface of the intermediate part and is extended by a short distance into a space between leg parts. An elastomer material part is adhered on a surface. The elastomer part has heat resistance and makes contact with the pipe 22 for surrounding but makes no contact with a pipe end part. This constitution allows passage of fluid between the pipe end part and the internal part of a tank 10.
