SOLUTION: This vacuum fixing retainer is provided with at least one bracket 10, and a suction block 14 supported by the bracket 10. A work fixed and retained can be placed on the suction block 14, and is retained by the suction block 14 by the action of negative pressure. The suction block 14 involves a first fixing and retaining surface 20 on the side of the work, and a second fixing and retaining surface 22 to the side of the bracket 10. At least one mechanical fixing and retaining means 24 is mounted for fixing the suction block 14 to the bracket 10.
