PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a DC motor which is relatively small in size and high in power. SOLUTION: A DC motor 10 has a field magnets 11 and 12, an armature 13, commutators 14 and brushes 15, and the armature 13 is turned by the interaction between a magnetic force generated by the field magnets 11 and 12 and a magnetic force generated by the armature 13. The field magnets 11 and 12 comprise a plurality of permanent magnets 11a, 11b, 12a and 12b which are layered so as to have their respective same polarities face each other.
