PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera which can inhibit photographing when regular photographing is to be executed with a photographing condition different from that when WB data is acquired by storing the photographing condition when while balance(WB) data is acquired and issuing warning when the photographing condition in the regular photographing differs from the stored photographing condition. SOLUTION: When 'manual WB input' is selected, the display of 'Please photograph a white object' is given on a display device (S4). A release switch is depressed with thee photographing condition in accordance with the display (S5). The photographing condition when the switch is released is stored in a memory (S6). When ON of the release switch is detected, the present photographing condition is judged to be equal to that at the acquisition of stored WB data or not (S11). When they are not equal, the warning of 'photographing condition differs from that at the time of WB take-in' is displayed on the display device for example, (S21).
