PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic device capable of realizing inexpensively a finer image adjustment function while retaining operability available previously. SOLUTION: Switches G1 and G3 adjusting a gain up and gain down, and a fine-adjustment switch G2 are provided in the gain adjustment circuit 17 of the image quality adjustment section 16 of an ultrasonic observation device 5. When the switches G1 and G3 are operated individually, the gain of a gain varying amplifier 11 can be increased or decreased by a prescribed gain width through a switch operation detection circuit 27 and a control signal generation circuit 21, and when the switch G1 or the switch G3 is operated simultaneously with the switch G2, the gain can be varied by a smaller gain width, and a finer image quality adjustment can be made while retaining the same operability as it is previously.
