COVERING SHEET FOR FUMIGATING STERILIZATION AND FUMIGATING STERILIZATION BY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a covering sheet for fumigating sterilization, not polluting an environment, excellent in strength, having a barrier property against a fumigating gas and useful for removing pine weevils by laminating a biodegradable thermoplastic resin layer on the surface of a base paper consisting of a cellulosic component. SOLUTION: This covering sheet is obtained by laminating a biodegradable thermoplastic resin layer such as a polylactic acid on at least one side surface of a base paper (of which unit weight is preferably 50-70 g/m2) consisting of a cellulosic component. Further, the covering sheet is obtained by laminating the biodegradable thermoplastic resin layer on the one side surface of the base paper consisting of the cellulosic component and having >=300 sec/100 ml degree of ventilation or laminating the biodegradable thermoplastic polymer on both sides of the base paper having >=130 sec/100 ml degree of ventilation. Also, it is preferable to sterilize withered and damaged woods or soil with a fumigating agent and covering the treated withered and damaged woods or soil damaged by the insects with the covering sheet for fumigating sterilization.
