PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal cable, having sufficient electromagnetic shielding performance and lightning surge characteristics for practical use, high withstand voltage of an insulated core wire, moreover is lightweight, small in diameter, and highly flexible. SOLUTION: This signals cable has a cable core which is constituted in the following way. A plurality of insulated core wires 11, 11, etc., are gathered via an intervening member 12 and wounded with one or more sheets of tape having a thickness of 25-200μm and made of PET or PP to form an insulating tape layer 13, hereon an aluminum tape with thickness of 0.05-0.3 mm is vertically applied to form a metal tape layer 15.
