PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for checking again the telephone number of an access point and to improve the availability for a user when the location where the user uses an information terminal is changed by setting automatically the telephone number of the nearest access point as the telephone number of an access point to be used. SOLUTION: A function is prepared to automatically retrieve the telephone number of the nearest access point from the telephone numbers of plural access points of an Internet connection provider and the information on the current position of a user together with a function that sets automatically the retrieved telephone number as the telephone number of an access point to be used. A storage part 63 of a control part 6 of this device performs the control to store various types of data in a storage 3. It is also possible to refer to a data base which stores the position information used for acquiring the telephone number of the nearest access point and its corresponding telephone number of an access point of the Internet connection provider via a storage control part 13.
