The invention relates to a process for recovering waste from resilient polyurethane foams resulting upon manufacturing vehicle seat cushions, from polyurethane foams in worn out vehicle seats, as well as from the polyurethane waste resulting upon manufacturing foam blocks for the furniture industry, by microdividing on the friction roller until obtaining a granulate having adequate granulometric distribution. According to the invention, the process consists in dividing the polyurethane waste to micron size in order to obtain a maximum granulation of 0.1 mm, in a ratio of minimum 90 % in a common microdividing installation which comprises two cylinders with a roughened active surface, rotatable in opposite direction at speeds of 250 ... 1500 rpm, having an adjustable setting of 0.5 ... 0.05 mm, the material being passed between the cylinders minimum 2 times, there resulting a polyurethane powder which is further processed in a manner known per se.
|
