System comprises: (a) 3 containers (C1, C2 and C3) where C1 and C2 and C2 and C3 are in fluid communication; (b) a first porous medium interposed between C1 and C2 (LDM) comprising at least 1 of a leukocyte depletion medium, a red cell barrier (RCBM) and a combined LD-RCBM; and (c) a second porous medium interposed between C1 and C2 comprising a leukocyte depletion medium. Also claimed is a blood centrifugation and processing system comprising: (i) a centrifuge having at least two buckets. (ii) at least one container fitted in the bucket; (iii) at least one filter assembly in fluid communication with the container; and (iv) a bracket receiving the filter assembly and carried by the bucket.
