PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the faulty fixation of outputted paper after releasing an LPM(low power mode) and to save power consumption in the LPM by detecting the surface temperature of a fixing roller at the time of recovering from the LPM and automatically changing a copying mode after recovering therefrom. SOLUTION: By releasing the LPM and depressing a recovering button, a copying mode is inputted and the device is recovered to a copying feasible state. Next, the surface temperature of the fixing roller 4-1 is monitored, and when it is >=175 deg.C, the roller 4-1 is heated up. When fixing controlled temperature becomes >=200 deg.C and attains copying feasible temperature, one side/one side copying in a job mode inputted by an operator is executed. When the surface temperature of the roller 4-1 is <=175 deg.C, the roller 4-1 is heated up and when it is lower than 200 deg.C, a multiple copying mode is forcibly executed even when one side/one side copying mode is selected. In such a case, blank copying is performed to a 2nd surface according to the multiple copying mode after an image is put on the first surface and passes through the fixing device 4-1 once. |
