PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reconcile shortening of a time up to the output of a first page with the number of printing sheets to be ensured as a product by parallely performing the interpretation processing of printing data and the physical start processing of a printing mechanism main body. SOLUTION: When printing is performed, a printing mechanism is started to read the stop number of times (step S3010) and, if the stop number of times exceed 10,000 times, the analysis of printing data and the formation of image data are performed without performing preparatory start (step S3050). If the stop number of times does not exceed 10,000 times, the printing mechanism is preliminarily started (step S3040) to be transferred to a standby state in parallel to the analysis of printing data.
