PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for separating particles from fluid which is easy of assembling, disassembling, and maintaining, can be operated under a high pressure, has a limited size. and can select a capacity as required without the necessity of changing an internal distribution duct. SOLUTION: In a separator, separation units are piled, each unit has cyclones 7 arranged parallelly and adjacently, the first chamber 21 with the overflow release apparatus of each cyclone opened, the second chamber 20 containing each cyclone and its supply apparatus, and the third chamber 22 with the underflow release apparatus opened, and the chambers are piled up in the length direction of the cyclone.
