PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide structure to realize a stable connection condition and to keep surely the stable connection condition, and to realize simplified and inexpensive constitution not required to arrange any mechanical element such as a spring (having no mechanical element). SOLUTION: This connector is provided with a plug 2 and a receptacle 3. An elastic locking piece 24 provided in a receptacle 3 is engaged with an engaging part 21 provided in a plug 2 side. A cover 6 is equipped slidably onto the plug 2, an operation piece extended to an engaging part 22 of the receptacle 3 is extended in a front end of the cover 6, a ridge-shaped protrusion 20 is provided in a tip of the operation piece, and the ridge-shaped protrusion 20 accesses an engaging protrusion 26 of the elastic enegaging piece 24 by sliding the cover 6 to release engagement with the engaging part 21 in the plug 2 side. An engaging projection is formed further in an outer face of a front end part sidewall of the plug 2, and a locking wall engaged with the engaging projection is provided openably in the engaging part 22 of the receptacle 3. A groove in the plug 2 side is engaged with a rib 32 in the receptacle 3 side to be locked.
