PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a high dewatering rate and also enable a small-sized dewatering device to be realized even if a dewatered item such as an entrance mat or the like is dewatered with its front surface being turned up. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a discharging nozzle 3 facing against a dewatered item 10 for discharging gas and with a section nozzle 4. A gas-water separating pipe 11 connected to the suction nozzle 4 and having a larger sectional area than that of the suction nozzle 4. There is provided a gas-water separating chamber 17 having the gas-water separating pipe 11 therein. With such an arrangement at above, water droplets intruding into the gas-water separating pipe are brought by an air flow into the gas-water separation chamber, so that the flow does not flow backward due to the presence of the suction nozzle and the suction nozzle can be installed either upward or downward.
