PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase detecting device capable of realizing exact phase detection. SOLUTION: In phase detecting devices 1, 2, 3, and 4, a reference signal Ref.B(ω) having a phase being a reference and a signal Sig.A(ω) to be detected are inputted, and a signal corresponding to a phase differenceΦbetween those signals is outputted. This phase detecting device is provided with a parametric amplifier (compressor) 1 for parametric-amplifying the signal Sig.A(ω) to be detected by using an exciting signal PumpA"(2ω) with two-fold angular frequencies, and the phase of the exciting signal PumpA"(2ω) is almost matched with the even-numbered times of a phaseπ/2 of the signal Sig.A(ω) to be detected.
