<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive library device capable of compacting a housing shelf and moreover capable of correctly positioning a medium operating hand. SOLUTION: This library device 1 is provided with plural recording media 2, the housing shelf 3 having plural cells 30 for housing the recording media 2, a recording and reproducing device 4 for the recording media 2, a conveying device 55 which clamps the recording medium 2 with clamping parts 55a, 55b and conveys it, and a controller for controlling the conveying device 55. A contact part 55c which comes into contact with the periphery of the cell 30 and entrances 31, 40 for the medium of the recording and reproducing device 4 is provided in the conveying device 55, positional information at the time when the contact part 55c is brought into contact with the periphery of the entrances 31, 40 for the medium at a prescribed interval is preliminarily obtained, and the positioning of the clamping parts 55a, 55b to the entrances 31, 40 for the medium is corrected with the controller based on the positional information.</p> |
