PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce human and timewise burden by providing an image formation control mean which adjusts and controls image forming conditions on the basis of the result of the detection of image density by an image density detection means. SOLUTION: An image density detection means 12 is provided at the downstream side in a carrying path for a recording medium P than a fixing device 9, and the image density of a fixed toner image on the surface of the recording medium P is detected. On the basis of the result of the detection, image forming conditions are adjusted and controlled. That is, at the time of the production of the image forming device, a toner image, serving as a standard, which consists of a toner pattern of a small size is formed on the surface of a photoreceptor. After the transfer of the toner pattern to the recording medium P, the toner pattern on the recording medium P is fixed by a fixing device 9, the image density of the fixed toner pattern is detected by the image density detection means 12 and stored in a storage part. Then, the image density data and standard density data are compared with each other, and a power feed characteristic value is adjusted and controlled on the basis of the obtained image density adjustment information. |
