PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover slide for shift lever device and its support structure which can secure the slidability of the cover slide even when drinking water is spilt and stuck. SOLUTION: A guide hole 16 is formed on a housing 14. A shift lever 12 which is connected to a transmission is put through this guide hole 16. Also, an opening 28 is formed on a cover slide 24 and the shift lever 12 is put through this opening 28. Here, a projecting part 26 is formed on both upper and lower sides of both end parts in a longitudinal direction of the cover slide 24 and the cover slide 24 is in linear contact with an edge part 23 and a guide rail part 20 by this projecting part 26 in a state in which a contact area is made small. Thus, even if drinking water intrudes between the edge part 23 and the guide rail part 20 and is stuck, a sticking force can be lowered and the slidability of the cover slide 24 can be secured.
