SUPPLY AIR TYPE COOLER AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE: Provided are a novel and improved supply air cooler structure to eliminate a stress in a position where an inside header and a tank are intercoupled by approximately equalizing thermal expansion of an inside header with that of the tank, and a method for manufacturing the supply air type cooler. CONSTITUTION: This manufacturing method is that a plurality of flat pipes(22) of a supply air type cooler are extended between header plates(18,20) and a fin(24) is situated between the adjoining pipes(22). The intermediate part of the header plate(18) has a pipe long hole and the end part of the pipe(22) runs through the surface of the intermediate part and is extended by a short distance into a space between leg parts. An elastomer material part is adhered on a surface. The elastomer part has heat resistance and makes contact with the pipe(22) for surrounding but makes no contact with a pipe end part. This constitution allows passage of fluid between the pipe end part and the internal part of a tank(10).
