PURPOSE: To obtain a dehumidifier capable of improving dehumidifying efficiency by allowing air to sufficiently contact with the whole dehumidifying agent. CONSTITUTION: A holding body 3 of the dehumidifier having a vessel main body 2 forming room space communicated with outside by interposing vent passages 36 and 37 and a holding body 3 for holding a deliquescent dehumidifying agent at a prescribed place in the room space has a wall part 22 in which plural small holes capable of passing air and deliquescence are drilled penetratingly, and existing extendedly in a vertical direction in the room space and arranged so that whose upper end are separated each other and so as to gradually approach as the wall moves downward and the holding of the dehumidifying agent is executed between the wall part. In this way, the holding quantity of the dehumidifying agent at the lower part becomes low than that at the upper part, and the deliquescence is proceeded from downside to form the space in downward and to hold the dehumidifying agent at the place upward than the liq. surface of the deliquescence, and the dehumidifying agent is brought into contact with the air in the room space over the wide area by the wall part 22.
