PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make efficient the procedure up to the retrieval and acquisition of a data file stored in a storage system by retrieving the data file and accessing media corresponding to the retrieval result almost in parallel. SOLUTION: The data file is retrieved and the media corresponding to the retrieval result is accessed almost in parallel. In, for example, an MHEG contents storage system 42A, a data writing/reading device 303 is enabled to write and read data to and out of media stored in a media storage part 304. Many media are stored in the media storage part 304 and MHEG contents data are written and recorded on the media. Properties as retrieval conditions are set for the stored MHEG contents data and the MHEG contents data recorded by the media are so managed as to have the same properties. |
