摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser diode module capable of arbitrarily adjusting the direction of polarization of light to be emitted and arbitrarily adjusting oscillation wavelength of light to be emitted by turning a fixed polarization optical fiber around an optical axis of the fixed polarization optical fiber and adjusting a polarization face of laser beam entering the fixed polarization optical fiber. SOLUTION: Since a dielectric multilayer film filter 15 can turn around a rotary axis 17 as shown by an arrow mark 22, a central penetration band is changed by this turn, namely, inclination of the dielectric multilayer film filter 15. As a result, oscillation wavelength of a laser diode 1 can be adjusted to an arbitrary wavelength. On the other hand, since a fixed polarization optical fiber 18 is physically separated from a mode expansion fixed polarization optical fiber 7, it can arbitrarily turn centered on an optical axis of the fixed polarization optical fiber 18 as shown by an arrow mark 23. Consequently, the direction of polarization of laser beam transmitted in the fixed polarization optical fiber 18 can be arbitrarily adjusted, namely, selected.
