<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain communication through an IP network between IEEEl394 terminals on which an IP layer is not mounded. SOLUTION: A server side router 10 and a client side router 11 are used so that a server side VCR12 as an IEEE1394 terminal and a client side VCR13 as an IEEE1394 terminal are connected through an ATM network 20 as an IP network. That is, the routers 10 and 11 are respectively provided with a conversion table for making an IP address correspond to an isochronous channel as prescribed by the IEEE1394 and a converting part for converting a packet format between an IP packet and an isochronous packet by referring to the conversion table.</p> |
