PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a mini disk(MD) by groups of data related to a program in a broadcast receiving and recording device which is composed of a broadcast receiving device to which the data related to the program is added every program and a MD player which records a received broadcast signal on the MD. SOLUTION: In this broadcast receiving and recording device, the MD player 11 is provided with a changer mechanism for selecting one sheet of the MD from among the plural sheets. When one or plural data related to the program are inputted to the respective MD in the MD player 11 by operating a key input device 6 in a broadcast receiving device 10, the inputted data related to the program is registered on a register 8 every MD. At the time of starting a reserved recording, the data related to the program which is included in the broadcast signal is compared with the data related to the program registered on the register 8 and it is judged if the data related to the program included in the broadcast best matched with the data related to the program of any of the MD. Further, the data for selecting the MD which is judged to be best matched is formed and is supplied to the MD player 11.
