PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate the service area by a mobile communication system using a cellular system in real time. SOLUTION: Each of base stations 1 to 4 always transmits a perch channel so that a practical mobile set can recognize a cell existing in an area. A measuring vehicle 5 first detects perch channels transmitted from peripheral base stations, selects the perch channel of a target to be measured and measures the propagation characteristics and communication quality characteristics of the target by using the channel. Since the perch channel is used, these characteristics can be measured without restricting a measuring place and time and an service area can be evaluated in real time by effectively using perch channel notification information.
