<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve throughput by providing an input packet transfer part with a label adding circuit for adding a label, according to the output destination of a packet and providing a switch part with a determination circuit for determining the output destination of the packet according to the label. SOLUTION: A main signal is transferred from a destination interpreting means 22 to a main signal conversion means 23, which converts a main signal into a format easily applicable to internal processing. A modulation means 24 converts the main signal into an optical signal. A label determined by the means 22 is converted into a suitable format by a label conversion part 25, and the format-converted label is converted into an optical signal by a label- adding means 26. Since a switch to be driven by a label is used as a switching means and the destinations of the packet are increased by using the label, an input packet means sets up wavelength and the label so as to prescribe an output packet transfer means of a destination, and then transmits the packet.</p> |
