PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightning surge detecting device capable of detecting the degree of degradation of a switch resulting from lightening. SOLUTION: An abnormal voltage resulting from lightening to a power supply side power line 111 (or load side power line 112) where a switch 100 is connected, is droped with an arrester 1, and sensed with a voltage detecting part 2, and on the basis of the obtained voltage value, the frequency of lightening is cumulated by a frequency cumulating part 3, which can detect the degree of degradation of the switch 100 due to lightening.
