<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed lead-acid battery having excellent high rate discharge characteristics in a limited battery dimension. SOLUTION: The amount of positive electrode active material per electrode group volume calculated by the product of positive electrode plate height, positive electrode plate breadth, and positive electrode plate thickness is limited to 0.95 g/cm3 or more and 1.25 g/cm3 or less, the amount of negative electrode active material is limited to 0.84 g/cm3 or more and 1.20 g/cm3 or less, and the ratio of the amount of negative electrode active material to the amount of positive electrode material is limited to 0.90 or more and 1.15 or less.</p> |
