PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make freely changeable a pattern surface and at the same time, obtain a dial for clock that is rich in pattern variation. SOLUTION: A fine color development thin piece 22a is nearly uniformly dispersed on the surface of a substrate layer 21 that is made of a transparent resin and a pattern formation layer 22 if provided at an area to a transparent layer 24 via adhesives 23a and 23b, a dial pattern layer 20 where a color layer 25 is provided on the lower surface of the substrate layer 21 is sealed to the bottom surface of a recessed part 11 a of a dial substrate 11 with an index 12 such as an hour character for composing a dial 10 for clock. The fine color development thin piece 22a is formed in nearly the same size, and a metal thin piece in nearly a scale piece shape, a thin piece where the metal thin film is colored, a thin piece where a transparent film is subjected to metal deposition, a thin piece made of shell, a thin film made of stone, and the like are used for the shape and the material of the fine color development thin piece 22a. The scaled pattern is changed to a matte and solid pattern in the size of the fine color development thin film. A colorful pattern and color tone appears due to the change, material, and color tone of the degree of glitter caused by the overlapping of the thin pieces.
