PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner in which the scanning speed and scanning range can be optionally set, which can be restored to a normal operation state in a short time even when noise is mixed, in which the resolution of a pixel clock can be improved without lowering the scanning speed and in which the reduction of cost is realized. SOLUTION: A 1st PLL circuit 230 generates a synchronizing signal CP2 synchronized with the resonance frequency of a resonance scanner 210 and a clock signal MCK having frequency (n) times as high as the signal CP2. A logic circuit 240 outputs a timing regulating signal PS regulating an effective scanning range and waveform data WD corresponding to the frequency of the pixel clock in accordance with the temporal change of the scanning speed of the scanner 210 in response to the signal CP2 and the signal MCK. A 2nd PLL circuit 250 generates a pixel clock PCK in response to the signal PS and the data WD.
