PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily reset a measuring device to an initial state when an abnormal state is generated. SOLUTION: When a measuring device 1 is stopped abnormally, a sample tray 11 is placed at a measuring position to be transferred to an ignition ashing process and the residue on the sample tray 11 is sucked and removed at a disposal position after the completion of the ignition ashing process and, thereafter, the sample tray 11 is returned to the measuring position of a balance tray 9 and air in a heating and weighing chamber 5 is discharged. By this constitution, the heating and weighing chamber 5 and the sample tray 11 are cooled to reset to an initial state.
