PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a heat resistant design confirming method for a wire harness of a car capable of accurately confirming whether electric wires consti tuting a wire harness meet the temp. in the actual service. SOLUTION: Electric wires 6a, 6b, 6c constituting a wire harness 8 of car are furnished on the surfaces previously with temp. indicating marks varying in the color irreversibly at the rated temps. of the wires 6a-6c over the whole wire length intermittently in their longitudinal direction, and the wire harness 8 is mounted on a vehicle 7 in the same situation as in actual service followed by current feeding, and checking is made whether the wires 6a-6c suit the temp. at the time of actual service on the basis of existence of any change in the color of the mark on each wire 6. Thus the heat resistant design confirming method for the wire harness 8 of a car is established.
