PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption and to extend communication distance between a response unit and a transponder by providing the transponder with a means for rewriting a nonvolatile memory cell bit by bit according to temporarily preserved data. SOLUTION: Eight-bit write data are inputted from the outside of an EEPROM part 100 to I/O0 (31a)-7 (31h), and the write data are temporarily preserved in data latches DL0i (70ai)-7i (70hi) corresponding to memory cells to write by YS1 (32a)-YSk (32x). Furthermore, an SAE1 (81b) is started and SA11 (80b1)-SA1m (80bm) are activated. Then, only the write data inputted to the I/O1 (31b) are written in a selection memory cell 300. By executing this operation successively to the write data to be inputted to the I/O7 (31h), the inputted write data of 8 bits are written bit by bit. |
