PURPOSE: A system is provided to simplify the interface between a picture display section and a supply source, to realize the constitution, in which connections are made easy, and to eliminate cumbersome wiring of interface cables even though the picture display section is a thin wall hanging type by time division multiplexing video and audio signals. CONSTITUTION: A terminal modem(203) receives video signals from a video signal processing section(205), audio signals from an audio signal processing section(210) and control information from a terminal CPU(201) and multiplexes these signals in accordance with timing signals from a timing generating section(204) so that these signals do not overlap with each other and outputs them. Thus, various information exchange between a terminal section(2) and a picture display section(1) takes place on a pair of signal lines only and the connecting cable is made simple and thin. Since the sections(1,2) are fundamentally connected by one thin cable, a cable processing is easily executed and the appearance is enhanced even though the picture display section is a wall hanging type. |
