PURPOSE: Disclosed is a long switch which does not fail in use over a long period with excellent durability. CONSTITUTION: This long switch is provided with a lower electrode plate(103) made of a long plate-like conductor material, a long insulating material covering the outer periphery of the lower electrode plate(103) except for the region of an opening section, an upper electrode plate(102) made of the long plate-like conductor material and overlapped on the opening section, and an envelope made of a long insulating material, having a protrusion on the upper end side, and covering the outer periphery of the insulating material(103) and upper electrode plate(102). |
