PURPOSE: To prevent occurrence of abrasion of a thrust ball bearing, and allow increasing of load application to the bearing. CONSTITUTION: This thrust ball bearing has a thrust plate 9a performing revolution, a thrust plate 4a faced to the thrust plate 9a, a holder 40 arranged between the thrust plates 9a and 4a and formed with a retaining hole 42 for retaining a ball 41, and the ball 41 retained inside the holding hole 42. When ρ denotes a revolving radius of the thrust plate 9a, (d)denotes a diameter of the ball, and D denotes a diameter of an aperture of the holding hole, the following formula is satisfied; D>=d+ρ. |
