PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an apparatus for measuring the capacity of a battery with a rechargeable capacity calculation function by using a temperature sensor by which a temperature is detected actually and by which the rechargeable capacity of the battery can be obtained precisely by using the detected temperature. SOLUTION: Immediately after a motor 3 fluctuates, a full-charge-voltage calculation and processing part 23 finds a terminal voltage which takes into consideration the inherent temperature of a battery 5 by using a temperature which is detected by a temperature sensor 12. The full charge voltage Vs of the battery 5 is found on the basis of a prescribed parameter so as to be set in a remaining capacity calculation and processing part 22. The remaining capacity calculation and processing part 22 finds a remaining capacity on the basis of an estimated voltage Vn which is found by a battery voltage estimation and processing part 21, on the basis of a discharge finish voltage Ve and on the basis of the full charge voltage Vs which is set by taking into consideration a temperature. A rechargeable capacity calculation and processing part 24 finds the rechargeable capacity on the basis of the remaining capacity.
