PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush device which urges a feeding brush enabling extremely easy brush fitting, without bending a spring beforehand. SOLUTION: This brush device 10 is composed of a resin board 12, a brush box 16 integrated with the resin board 12, a feeding brush 19 which slides inside this brush box 16 and feeds power touching a commutator 20, a spring which urges the feeding brush 19 toward the commutator 20 by an urging part 18b which stretches outside a circular spiral part 18a from the end part of the spiral part 18a composed by winding an elastic wire rod circularly and spirally, and a holding member 14 which comprises a cylindrical wall part provided with a guide path 14a for guiding the urging part 18b in the direction of urging, and an opening 14b which opens with a breadth smaller than the outside diameter of the spring part 18a and strentches in the axial direction, along with having an internal peripheral part 14c, whose inside diameter is not smaller than the outside diameter of the spiral part 18a of the spring 18, and holds the inner packed spring.
