PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preventing heat recovery equipment from being corroded at a heat recovery unit thereof by corrosive components in exhaust gas and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: In a method of preventing corrosion of heat recovery equipment for recovering heat from an exhaust gas containing corrosive components, the temperature of a fluid in a heat recovery unit 6 is controlled so that the temperature of the heat recovery unit 6 is maintained in the non-corrosion temperature range of the above corrosive components. In addition the heat recovery equipment for recovering heat from the exhaust gas containing the corrosive components comprises means 13 for controlling temperature of fluid supplied to the heat recovery unit 6, and a controller 20 for controlling the above-temperature control means 13 so that the temperature of the above-fluid is maintained in the non-corrosion temperature range of the corrosive components based on the temperature of the fluid in the heat recovery unit 13.
