<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter having high transmissivity equal to that of a color filter manufactured by a pigment dispersion method. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method for a color filter includes a process of providing a light transmitting conductive film and a light transmitting photosemiconductor thin film in order on a light transmitting substrate to form an electrodeposition substrate, bringing at least the photosemiconductor thin film of the substrate into contact with an electrodeposition liquid containing a coloring agent, applying voltage or current to the conductive film, performing image exposure to the electrodeposition substrate to generate photoelectromotive force and forming a colored electrodepositing film selectively on the exposure portion. In this case, it is characterized in that the product of the film thickness of the light transmitting photosemiconductor thin film and the real part coefficient of a refractive index of the photosemiconductor thin film is 1/2 of the design wavelengthλnear the center of a visible band or integer multiple of 1/2 of the design wavelengthλ.</p> |
