PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make two adjacent pictures to be stuck accurately to each other even when no common feature point exists in the overlapping area of the pictures. SOLUTION: Partial pictures obtained by photographing an object by vertically dividing the object into four parts are inputted (S01). Feature points are respectively extracted from the partial pictures (S02) and whether or not common feature points exist in the partial pictures is checked (S03). When alignment is possible between horizontally adjacent partial pictures ('YES' in S04), the adjacent pictures are stuck to each other (S05) and two pictures which are respectively obtained by sticking the horizontally adjacent partial pictures to each other are further stuck to each other (S06). When it is not possible to stick the horizontally adjacent partial pictures to each other ('NO' in S04), vertically adjacent partial pictures are stuck to each other (S07) and two pictures which are respectively obtained by sticking the vertically adjacent partial pictures to each other are further stuck to each other (S08).
