PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analytical method of ammonia nitrogen and nitrate/ nitrite nitrogen capable of quantitatively determining accurately NOx nitrogen and ammonia nitrogen separately. SOLUTION: This method includes a process in which an alkalizing agent is added to a sample water to thereby convert ammonia nitrogen in the sample water into ammonia gas, and the ammonia gas is oxidized into NO gas by an oxidation catalyst installed in a combustion part of a heated reaction tube, and the NO gas is sent to a chemiluminescent NO detector 13 to analyze ammoniacal nitrogen, and a process in which NOx nitrogen comprising nitrate nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen included in the sample water from which ammonia nitrogen is removed is converted into ammonia gas by reduction reaction by using a Devarda's alloy, and the ammonta gas is oxidized into NO gas by the oxidation catalyst installed on the combustion part of the heated reaction tube, and the NO gas is sent to the detector 13 to analyze the NOx nitrogen.
