DISK DRIVE EQUIPPED WITH RECORDING AND REPRODUCING FUNCTION FOR SEMICONDUCTOR MEMORY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To require no adapter for recording and reproduction, to greatly increase the speed of data transmission to and from a host computer, and to easily and effectively use a semiconductor memory by making it possible to connect a connecting means to a host computer through the interface connector of a recording and reproducing device for floppy disk. SOLUTION: A disk drive 1 has the recording and reproducing device 20 for floppy disk which is connected to the host computer through the interface connector 16 and at least one connecting device 17 which is loaded with a semiconductor memory 3 and transfers data between the loaded semiconductor memory 3 and host computer. It is made possible to connect this connecting means and the host computer through the interface connector 16 of the recording and reproducing device 20. Consequently, an adapter for the semiconductor memory need not be purchased and the semiconductor memory 3 can be recorded and reproduced.
