PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which makes a heat discharging fan perform an efficient heat discharging operation in a power saving mode and which is excellent in reliability. SOLUTION: In a power saving mode, it is possible to make the heat discharging for perform the efficient heat discharging operation by preventing the overshooting of a fixing temp. while making the fan exhibit a heat discharging effect until the temp. of a fixing unit is lowered to a prescribed temp. T-L and also by reducing the noise and the power consumption of the fan while preventing the longer operation than required of the fan in a state in which the temp. of the fixing unit is lowered by performing the temp. control of the fixing unit and, at the same time, by controlling the changeover of the rotational speed of the fan to a low speed based on the result of the comparison between the detection temp. of the unit and the preliminarily set prescribed temp. T-L or of the comparison between a count time after the device enters into the power saving mode and a preliminarily set time t-. |
