PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate trailing, toner offsetting and transfer omission and also to remarkably improve the soiling of a pressure roller by providing a means to apply variable bias voltage and a conducting means brought into contact with a recording material at the time of holding and feeding. SOLUTION: The recording material P to which a toner image is transferred is fed to a fixing device consisting of a heater unit 10, the pressure roller 11, a fixing entrance guide 9, a paper ejection guide 12, a paper ejection roller 13 or the like by passing through a feeding guide 8. A DC bias output from the high voltage power source 20 of primary electrification is induced to the surface of fixing film through a switching circuit 26 consisting of an FET and a resistor or the like. Thus, the application of DC bias to the fixing film is arbitrarily turned on and off during the output of primary electrification bias. The paper ejection roller 13 consists of conductive rubber, and a core bar 13a is grounded. When the bias is applied to the fixing film and the recording material P is held and fed by both the fixing film, the pressure roller 11 and the paper ejection roller 13, an energizing path is formed to a ground from a bias power source through the recording material P. |
