<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the usability when a cradle is used by providing the cradle with a hub function. SOLUTION: The cradle 2 has a changeover switch 502, which is connected to the upstream port side of a hub 202 so that two directions of three-directional switching can be switched between the reception connectors of a USB(Universal Serial Bus) downstream port and a USB downstream port and the remaining one direction is selected in automatic switching mode. The cradle 2 is provided with a decision switch 501 for deciding whether or not the portable information terminal 1 is set, and the decision switch 501 is connected to the reception connector 8 of the USB downstream port when the portable information terminal 1 is installed and to the USB upstream port 301 when not. When the automatic switching mode is selected with the changeover switch 502, the connection destination of the hub 202 is determined by the decision switch 501.</p> |
